If the Tele building wants to be Arena 2.0 as it seems, they really should build up a replica of this lighting cluster and do an opener like this at the start of the night.
One of the best nights clubs I been to in the 90s what scene it was back in the day❤

95 ARENA - NO ONE DRANK - ONLY WATER - NO NEED -ONE E - DOVE SOOOOO STRONG - £15 - FUUUCCKKEED UP - LADS ALL TOPLESS, eh and some LADIES (wasn't called XTC 4 no reason!!) LOONIES DANCING ON TOP OF THE SPEAKERS, TABLES, CHAIRS - VICKS AND GLOWSTICKS - WHITE GLOVES AND OLBAS OIL - (pity we had no smartphones back den as it's so hard 2 know the feeling with old video cassettes) FUCK IT. 100% and we travelled from derry every sat nite,went to kellys once,and was told so many times by men and women that there was no such place,first and last time in it circus circus the same
Circus and Kellys didn't have any of that nonsense that I ever experienced, fair enough the Circus was a dump but I never had any hassle there (as a Catholic), only dicey place I ever encountered wad Charlie Heggartys and even that was a very small minority, by and large clubbing in Northern Ireland in the 90s was a great place to mingle with others

we ended up in dundalk one sat nite and we lived in derry good times

If they ever invent a time machine first thing i'd do would be gather the old crew and rock up to the Arena with a couple of white doves, loved the place and the people, still miss it over 20 years on from my first night. Kids these days will never know...
